Assistant PM/Client PM Analyst- West Los Angeles

Provide support to portfolio management team by analyzing and summarizing detailed portfolio analytics and strategy reviews for multiple accounts and funds on a monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis; drive discussions on account performance

· Prepare quarterly set of competitors’ performance and funds in market

· Analyze and report on monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc portfolio performance drivers using attribution analyses and portfolio summaries, highlighting yield, sector, duration, and credit quality attributes

· Create weekly portfolio characteristics, risk management, and strategy summaries for senior management

· Manage a team of performance analysts and build a structured and seamless workflow to meet scheduled deadlines and ad-hoc requests

· Utilize various external and proprietary portfolio management tools (Black Mountain Everest, Sylvan, Zephyr, FactSet, BAML GIS, Barclays POINT, Bloomberg) to assist portfolio managers in analyzing investments

· Develop strong understanding of investment related processes and internal systems to monitor quality control and suggest improvements and enhancements to improve effectiveness

· Screen universe for potential investment ideas using attribution results and analytics output

CLIENT SUPPORT

· Compose and streamline the investment commentary process; maintain knowledge of corporate credit market environment, asset class trends, portfolio construction strategy, and market outlook to write commentary for our quarterly investor letters and client reviews

· Prepare, review, and manage workflow related to recurring client reporting deliverables and LP requests and ad-hoc client/consultants requests pertaining to Capital Markets products and portfolios

· Supervise the completion of Capital Markets RFPs/RFIs/DDQs

· Create new/original marketing materials that are furnished to existing and prospective investors to reflect updated market conditions and product developments

· Manage the quarterly webcast presentation, including responsibility for scheduling, content development, and scripting

· Liaise with research analysts, trading desk, compliance group, investor relations group, portfolio administration team, and back-office to produce deliverables and manage inbound client requests

· Responsible for all planning around client reviews, whether by telephone or in person. Internally schedule and prepare colleagues for client reviews

· Work with portfolio managers to develop and create presentation materials used during client reviews

· Attend client reviews in LA office, travel with Portfolio Managers (as needed) to meet with clients/LPs at their offices, and occasionally attend industry events to represent the firm

· Prepare portfolio managers attending client reviews and prospective client meetings; provide investor overview, prior meeting notes, attendee biographies, etc.
